The Story of Christian Divine Church
The vision for the Christian Divine Church was birthed through a profound and undeniable divine calling. In 1959, Prophet Apostle John Taylor received a clear spiritual mandate to establish a ministry dedicated to the unadulterated preaching of the Gospel. From its inception, the overarching desire was to create a sanctuary that not only nurtured profound spiritual growth but also actively addressed the practical, educational, and social needs of the community.
The spiritual groundwork of the church began with humble yet deeply committed origins in Tarkwa. With an initial congregation of just thirty-nine dedicated members, Prophet Apostle John Taylor, alongside Madam Dorcas Taylor, instituted a rigorous culture of fervent prayer, fasting, and unwavering faith. These foundational gatherings served as the spiritual crucible that forged the enduring legacy and operational blueprint the church continues to follow today.
As the congregation experienced exponential growth, reaching tens of thousands of members nationwide, the vision necessitated significant physical expansion. Through divine orchestration and the sacrificial commitments of the congregation, the church established its majestic national headquarters, the John Taylor Temple, in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality. This era of development extended beyond physical sanctuaries to include the construction of educational institutions, reflecting a holistic commitment to societal empowerment.
Over six decades later, God’s sovereign hand remains the sustaining force of this ministry. Today, the Christian Divine Church stands as a monumental, living testimony to His absolute faithfulness, enduring grace, and limitless provision.
